Jack Farley is a Tacoma native with a lifelong love for back-alley coffee shops, neighborhood diners, and the kind of places that only locals whisper about. Born and raised on the North End, Jack grew up exploring the streets of Tacoma long before they were cool on Instagram. His childhood was filled with rainy-day visits to Point Defiance, late-night fries at Frisko Freeze, and weekend strolls through the Proctor Farmers’ Market with his grandparents.
A former journalist-turned-storyteller, Jack spent over a decade writing for regional publications, profiling everyone from oyster farmers to underground muralists. But it wasn’t until he launched Tacoma Treasures that he found his true calling—highlighting the small businesses and unsung personalities that make Tacoma tick.
When he’s not recording interviews or digging up local history, you can find Jack sipping black coffee at a used bookstore, biking the Ruston Way waterfront, or hunting down the best pho in town. He believes every city has a soul—and in Tacoma, it lives in the little places you almost miss.
